As breeders of AKC Gordon Setters since 1970,
and now recognized as Breeders of Merit, we are
committed to producing puppies that are healthy
family pets, hunting companions and of course the
next generation of top show dogs for our program.
We strive to improve the Gordon Setter breed with
each litter based on temperament, health and the
AKC standard.

We have two different locations to raise our Gordon
Setter puppies; one in Northern Wisconsin and the
other in Southeastern Wisconsin for a combined
125 acres for the dogs to enjoy!  It is truly a Gordon
Setter paradise.

Our Gordon Setter puppies are raised in the country
with a lot of exposure to the woods, ponds, nature
and most importantly my kids!  The puppies and the
kids are a natural combination and it definitely helps to socialize them!

We have bred around 70 champions, multiple Best In Show dogs, multiple National Specialty winners, and have had many dogs on TV at the prestigious Westminster Kennel Club, AKC Eukanuba Invitational, and Purina Invitational shows.

Our start in Gordon Setters was from the local humane society in the 1960's.  A registered Gordon Setter named Ch Count of Blackmore, CD was surrendered and my Mother took him home. She was immediately taken with these regal dogs.  Four years later she bought a female locally named Jennifer Gay Lady, who was out of the famous hunting dog, Tanny Bay.  Eventually she found a suitable stud dog to breed her to which produced, Am/Can Ch O'Hillock's Divine Sarah.  Sarah was the dam of Multi BISS / BIS Ch Heatherhill's Battlestar, our foundation dog.  Stephanie Walter was the owner of Sarah and the co-owner and breeder of Battle and to this day we still work closely with Stephanie of Heatherhill Kennel to produce these wonderful dogs.

I was born into the dog show world, with my Mom, Aunt and Uncle all being professional handlers and having shown dogs since the 1950's.  My Aunt and Uncle retired from handling to become AKC judges, but my Mom and I still love the breeding and showing aspect of this hobby.

I first stepped into the ring with a Gordon Setter in 1974 at the age of 4 and I finished my first Champion at the young age of 10, an English Setter named Annie.  My Mom and I have worked in a combined effort to consistently produce some of the top AKC Gordon Setters in the country.
